Pirkanmaan Voimia Ltd is owned by the cities of Tampere, Nokia, Virrat, and Ylöjärvi, the municipality of Vesilahti, and the Pirkanmaa welfare area. The company has overall responsibility for organizing meal and cleanliness services for the city of Tampere using a multi-provider model. The company also provides meal and cleanliness services to the Pirkanmaa welfare area. Pirkanmaan Voimia offers 14.5 million meals annually in daycares, schools, hospitals, and elderly care services. Additionally, the company ensures the cleanliness and comfort of over 550 properties.
Previously, Pirkanmaan Voimia used the SAP financial system of the city of Tampere and external financial management services. The support for the current SAP solution is coming to an end, and the company has decided to transition to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system, which integrates seamlessly with the company’s other systems and supports business processes. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 business platform is already in use for Pirkanmaan Voimia’s operations management, and now it is being expanded to financial management.
The partner for the transformation project was required to have the ability to support the company comprehensively in the transition: both in the transition to the new financial management system and in the flexible production of key financial management processes according to the company’s needs.
Efima met the selection criteria and will deliver the Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management solution to Pirkanmaan Voimia, covering financial management and procurement solutions, as well as system maintenance, support, and continuous development. The solution package also includes the Dooap accounts payable automation solution, a Microsoft Power Apps-based invoicing application, and the Efima Layer extension, which enhances and complements the basic functions of Dynamics 365 and helps meet local needs. After the implementation, Efima will also take care of the production and development of Pirkanmaan Voimia’s financial management processes, including purchase invoice processing and accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, accounting, and fixed assets.
Efima has extensive experience in transitioning financial management from SAP to Dynamics 365. Efima has supported similar transitions for companies such as Sanoma, YIT, and Metropolitan Area Transport, bringing best practices and deep expertise to Pirkanmaan Voimia’s transformation project.
